Reciprocity as a Source of Bias in Multiple Peer Assessment of Group Work.
Magin, Douglas
Studies in Higher Education, v26 n1 p53-63 Mar 2001
Analyzed a data set of multiple peer ratings which had been used as part of the assessment for a community medicine class. Looked for "reciprocity effects" in the ratings, or the tendency for two people who are involved in rating each other to be influenced in their ratings by social interactions between them. Found a negligible effect. (EV)
