The Threshold Hypothesis, Semilingualism, and Other Contributions to a Deficit View of Linguistic Minorities.
MacSwan, Jeff
Hispanic Journal of Behavioral Sciences, v22 n1 p3-45 Feb 2000
Four kinds of reputed evidence for semilingualism or limited bilingualism are rejected as spurious or irrelevant. Implications for bilingual education policy and practice are discussed. (Contains 162 references.) (SV)
