Fishbein and Ajzen's Theory of Reasoned Action: Accurate Prediction of Behavioral Intentions for Enrolling in Distance Education Courses.
Becker, Ellen A.; Gibson, Chere C.
Adult Education Quarterly, v49 n1 p43-55 Fall 1998
A survey of 365 respiratory care practitioners measured variables from the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA): intention, attitude, social norm, behavioral and normative beliefs, personal norm, and perceived behavioral control. Attitude and subjective social norm were significant predictors of participation in continuing professional education. The TRA was supported for predicting intentions. (SK)
