Incorporating Environmental Behavior, Ethics, and Values into Nonformal Environmental Education Programs.
Negra, Christine; Manning, Robert E.
Journal of Environmental Education, v28 n2 p10-21 Win 1997
Visitors to the Vermont state park system were surveyed to define a range of environmental behavior, ethics, and values. Data were used to develop principles for designing park environmental education programs. Findings suggest that such programs should emphasize points of commonality among visitors, present environmental messages through diverse programs, and address visitor subgroups according to environmental vision. Contains 24 references. (Author/PVD)
