Organizational Newcomers' Acquisition of Information from Peers.
Comer, Debra R.
Management Communication Quarterly, v5 n1 p64-89 Aug 1991
Studies the processes by which organizational newcomers acquire information from their peers. Indicates types of information acquired, channels through which they acquire it, and the relationship between type and channel. Suggests that information acquisition is affected by type of organization, newcomer-peer work interactions, and newcomer occupation and experience level, but not by organizational size. (SR)
