The Writer's Ultimate Research Guide.
This guide contains hundreds of annotated listings of books and databases that can: tell the writer where to find the facts for fiction and non-fiction; eliminate trial and error searches; and speed an information hunt so that there will be more time to write. Each entry in the guide reveals how current the material is and what the content and organization are like, so that a writer can get an idea of how useful the resource will be before he/she goes hunting for it. The first chapter of the guide highlights types of departments and materials common to different types of libraries and teaches conventions of online searching (Both in and out of libraries). The next chapter looks at the many types and ways of accessing magazine, journal and newspaper articles, where writers may find some of the most useful information. The rest of the guide is comprised of chapters dedicated to specific kinds of searches. Every chapter contains research advice along with titles and descriptions of many reference sources. (NKA)
