The chapters are: (1) "Divided Loyalty," including being a go-between for divorcing parents and where to live; (2) "Can Access Be Fun?" on stepsiblings and visiting the noncustodial parent; (3) "You and Your Parent," including jealousy and coping with loss and grief; (4) "You and Your Stepparent" including how to treat a stepparent and different parenting styles; (5) "Being Invaded?" including emotional and personal space; (6) "Gaining Freedom," on developing adolescent independence and responsibility; (7) "Frustrations and Annoyances," including steprelatives, and parents' sex life; and (8) "Giving it a Go: Taking Control" including rules for fighting fair and advice from teenage stepchildren.
