Approved Postsecondary Degree and Certificate Programs in Colorado Public Colleges and Universities, 1993-94.

This report provides information on all approved programs offered at Colorado's public postsecondary institutions as of December 31, 1993, including the 44 programs approved during the past year. There are currently 1,086 approved, operating degree programs in Colorado's public postsecondary system: 803 at four-year institutions and 283 at two-year colleges. Baccalaureate degrees comprise the largest number of degree programs (37 percent), followed by graduate (35 percent) and associate (28 percent) programs. The program areas with the greatest number of baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate programs are Engineering (98), Social Science (90), Physical Science (69), Education (66), and Life Science (61). Tables present the following data: (1) a summary of degrees offered by level, (2) a program matrix by degree level and discipline, (3) a program matrix by institutional type, (4) a list of the new approved programs, and (5) the types and levels of degrees offered in Colorado by degree level and type of funding. Appendices, comprising most of the report, lists the degrees offered by institution, by program names, and by delivery site (for the off-campus degree programs). (GLR)
