Admission to Faculties of Education in Canada: What You Need To Know.
Canadian Education Association, Toronto (Ontario).
This guide describes the admission criteria utilized by faculties of education in 50 postsecondary institutions in Canada, arranged by province. For each entry the following information is provided: a listing of the teacher education programs, selection requirements and procedures for various types of degree programs; statistics on 1992-93 applications for admission; 1993-94 student intake quota; other programs; and address for inquiries. Since most faculties of education (62 percent) consider a combination of academic and personal factors for admission, the personal characteristics and type of work experience they seek in their students, along with details of the interview process, are listed where applicable.
