Oklahoma School Testing Program, Achievement Test Component, 1993 Summary Report.
Oklahoma State Dept. of Education, Oklahoma City.
This report provides an overview of the Oklahoma School Testing Program and summarizes students' average achievement test scores from 1986 through 1993. Students were administered the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills (ITBS) in grades 3, 5, and 7; and the Tests of Achievement and Proficiency (TAP) in grades 9 and 11 in spring 1993. Test results indicate that the average student in these grades is performing at a level that is equivalent to, or slightly above, the national average in all subject levels. In addition, students tested in 1993 earned scores that are equal to, or slightly higher, than those of 1992. Fourteen tables and 11 figures in the body of the text present figures about the achievement of Oklahoma students. Nine appendixes contain an additional 355 pages of results in table form, and provide the following information for 1992: (1) state level results; (2) a summary of state results; (3) a list of averages by region for grade 3; (4) averages for grade 5; (5) averages for grade 7; (6) averages for grade 9; (7) averages for grade 11; (8) percent of scores under the normal curve; and (9) a companion document, the "Interpretive Guide--1993" published by Riverside Publishing Company.
