This report describes how 22 Louisiana public school counselors were selected to attend a 5-day summer program to acquaint counselors with several computer programs relevant to counseling. It also describes the follow-up mail survey regarding the counselors' motivation for attending, evaluation of the program and accommodations, and opinions on why more counselors do not use computers in their work. The summary of survey responses indicates the following: (1) most attended for self-improvement; (2) most appreciated the hands-on experience; and (3) most felt such workshops would ease computer anxiety and improve the use of computers in counseling.
