Designing the Horizons of Your Small Business.
Helgemo, Robert R.
This manual outlines the planning process for developing a feasibility study for a small business. The material is composed of three parts: the planning documents filled out for an imaginary campground; a business plan summarized from the planning documents; and blank planning documents with introductions and instructions. The documents can be used in four basic learning configurations: (1) short class (36 hours); (2) extended class (120 hours); (3) seminar presentations (3-6 hours); and (4) counseling sessions. After an introductory message to instructors, some teaching tips, an explanation of planning document use configurations, and a brief introduction, teaching materials are organized into five sections: (1) business plan for Crystal Deer Campground--Werizt, Wisconsin; (2) Proforma Revenue, Expense, and Cash Flow; (3) completed planning documents for a business plan; (4) Proforma Plan for Revenue, Expense, and Cash Flow; and (5) blank planning documents for a business.
