Delaware Educational Assessment Program: 1990 Report to the Legislature.
McCann, Kaye R.
This document is a report to the Delaware State Legislature concerning the results of the Delaware Educational Assessment Program in 1989-90. The Stanford Achievement Test was administered statewide in grades 1 through 8 and grade 11. This administration allowed both national and state comparisons. The average Delaware student performed above the national norm in reading, mathematics, language arts, and higher-order skills. Compared to the results of the preceding year, achievement test results improved. Information in the report is provided in three sections: (1) a description of the statewide assessment program; (2) state level averages and analyses; and (3) a listing of averages by content area and grade level for each school and school district with district plans to remedy identified weaknesses. Numerous tables provide data for the state's 17 school districts. Two appendices provide nine tables of supplemental information. (SLD)
