The collective bargaining agreement between Kent State University and the Kent State chapter of the American Association of University Professors is presented. Detailed are policies under the following 14 articles: recognition and dues deduction; management rights; governance (faculty participation at several levels); grievances and appeals procedures; sanctions for cause; faculty workload (regular academic year and summer and intersession workload); retrenchment; promotion and tenure; salaries and benefits (for academic years 1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-92, summary of previous provision); no strike no lockout; association rights; notification of nonreappointment and resignation; miscellaneous; duration and negotiation procedure. Several addenda contain university policy regarding promotion, faculty tenure, and teaching load as well as salary schedules for overload and summer teaching for 1989, 1990, and 1991. (JB)
