This document provides information about computer software (courseware) used in and recommended by adult literacy programs and organizations. The information was compiled from five source documents, evaluations of or guides to adult literacy computer courseware. Section one is a general courseware information listing organized by subject. The following information is provided for each of 507 listings: (1) subject; (2) title; (3) level; (4) source (one or more of the five documents); (5) evaluation; (6) types; (7) computer system used; (8) publisher; and (9) price. Seven types of courseware are listed: (1) drill and practice; (2) exercise; (3) educational game; (4) simulation; (5) tutorial; (6) test or assessment tool; and (7) utility or tool. Section two is a listing of courseware descriptions and comments in alphabetical order by title. In the third section, addresses and phone numbers are provided for 101 courseware publishers. (NLA)
