This report on educational progress in the State of Tennessee during the 4-year period 1984-1988 concentrates on major areas that have been monitored over the past several years and that cut across all levels of education. These areas are: gains in the state's student achievement; student readiness for college; student performance; partnerships with business, government, and communities; and improvements in teacher education programs.
