The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Nutrition Education and Training Program (NET) provides nutrition information and instructional resources for children and for key individuals involved in children's learning environments. The latter category includes parents, educators, and food service personnel. This document describes formal evaluation activities of the NET Program for fiscal year 1990, reports findings, and offers recommendations. Section I provides an executive summary of the evaluation activities. Section II describes the evaluation of the outreach activities of the NET Program. Section III reports on the evaluation of the Nutrition for Children workshops for educators, food service personnel, and administrators. Section IV concerns findings on the use of the "Food... Early Choices" kits in nutrition education. Section V reports on the general evaluation of the NET Program.
