The Integrated Early Childhood Curriculum.
This textbook provides an outline of an integrated curriculum for early childhood education. Part 1 discusses the human element in school: the child and the teacher and child development. Part 2 contains the curriculum itself and covers the subjects of language, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, and movement. Guidelines provide direction toward integrating the subjects with children's natural and spontaneous interests. Part 3 covers parent and teacher relations, the history of experiments with the early childhood learning environment, and outlines of classroom activities for the preprimary and primary grades. (JD)
