This manual outlines the curriculum for the Heart Saver Program, designed for students in the tenth grade in Manitoba. It contains guidelines for instruction on: (1) risk factors of heart disease; (2) warning signals of heart attack; (3) factors involved in intervening in an emergency; (4) anatomy and physiology; (5) techniques for dealing with an obstructed airway; and (6) infant resuscitation.
