This package consists of occupational competency profiles for evaluation of students in vocational home economics courses in Texas. The package begins with a rating sheet of essential elements for all vocational programs, with space for instructors to rate students on a four-point scale, followed by a competency profile sheet. Competency profiles/rating sheets using the same rating scale are provided for comprehensive homemaking I, II, and III. The package next contains six groups of forms for the following subjects: home furnishings and equipment management, production, and services; child care and guidance management and services; clothing, apparel, and textiles management, production, and services; institutional, home management, and supporting services; home and community services; and food production, management and services. For each of these subjects the following are provided: a competency rating scale for up to 187 competencies, a rating scale for 78 general employability competencies, an occupational competency profile worksheet to record student information, and a certificate of competence. The final section of the package consists of competency rating scales for the following semester courses: family living and parenthood; clothing and textiles; clothing, apparel, and textiles management, production, and services; food production, management and services; institutional, home management, and supporting services; family/individual health; child development, care, and guidance; food and nutrition; home management; housing, home furnishings, and equipment; and consumer education.
