The curriculum recommendations of the Advisory Commission on Articulation Between Secondary Schools and Ohio Colleges are presented, along with the recommendations of the Advisory Council for College Preparatory Education. The recommendations for college preparatory science programs include the laboratory experiences and scientific vocabulary, as well as specific coursework in earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics. Recommendations for social studies programs cover goals for students of history, American history, American government, comparative government, social sciences, world history, and current events. The recommendations for foreign language study concern both modern and classical languages and specifically consider grammar and syntax, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture. Recommendations for English address specific writing skills, language, grammar, sentence and paragraph structure, writing organization, and reading skills. Finally, the recommendations for mathematics outline minimum requirements and topics that should be covered in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, analytic geometry, probability and statistics, along with computer program requirements.
