Suggestions for improving school library and media services are offered by elementary school media staff in the Sacramento (California) area. This manual consists of one-page reference sheets for each school that responded to a request to share helpful ideas on media services. In addition to a helpful idea or ideas, each sheet includes the name of the school and district and information on whom to contact. The reference sheets are organized into seven sections: (1) overall planning; (2) remodeling/room arrangement; (3) storage and handling of materials; (4) scheduling/use planning; (5) programs with students; (6) promotion of services; and (7) just come visit. Almost half of the ideas fall into the student programs category. An alphabetical list of the schools involved is included. (DC)
