This training manual for emergency medical technicians, one of 14 modules that comprise the Emergency Victim Care textbook, covers extrication of victims from automobiles. Objectives stated for the chapter are for the student to be able to describe how to use extrication equipment properly and the correct use of the long and short backboards to remove victims from motor vehicles.
