This resource unit provides activities and resources for career awareness at the elementary school level. Student pages which can be used as a basis for activities are included for both primary and intermediate levels. The student pages are related to the following job areas in which growth has been predicted: (1) manufacturing; (2) foods; (3) transportation; (4) health services; (5) banking/insurance/real estate; (6) energy; and (7) computers. On the back of each student page is a teacher's checklist for planning activities. Twenty-nine career awareness activities are then offered. Additional materials include a list of fifteen job clusters, an alphabetical list of careers, and a career interview sheet. Resources which are provided include bibliographies of books on careers and work, suggestions for a multimedia collection, addresses for career information, sources of commercially produced materials, and a list of audiovisual materials.
