Guidelines for writing a research paper or a term paper are presented in this booklet. The following steps in the research process are outlined: (1) gathering information (search strategy); (2) preparing bibliography cards; (3) preparing note cards; (4) writing the paper (including preparing an outline, writing a rough draft, and revising the draft); (5) preparing footnotes; and (6) completing the paper.
