A Handbook of Projects and Activities for Marketing and Distributive Education.

This handbook has been designed to provide classroom teachers with relevant, ready-to-use materials geared to supplement classroom instruction in marketing and distributive education. The projects/activities have been organized using the major units of instruction of the Montana Curriculum Guidelines for Distributive Education, except for a special unit on merchandising mathematics. Forty projects/activities are in the handbook. Some are brief and are designed to be used within one class period, while others are more complex and will extend over a few days or weeks. The following information is provided for each project/activity: project title, related unit of instruction, suggested grade level, time required to complete the project, project rationale, project purpose and performance objectives, project description, evaluation procedures, resources required for the project, miscellaneous project information, and the name of the person who developed the project. Project subjects include marketing and distributive education, human relations and communication, operations and control, merchandising mathematics, buying for resale, merchandise handling, sales promotion, sales and service, and management and decision making.
