Information necessary to the planning of the 1982-83 Austin (Texas) Independent School District Chapter I Program is provided in four sections. The first section describes in detail how the attendance areas were ranked by percentages of low-income students. The second section describes ranking procedures altered to reflect differences in educational need. The tables in the third section are used to determine the subject matter and grade levels to be served, and to estimate the number of eligible participants at each school for various selection criteria. The final section contains four sets of contingency tables showing eligible students for various numbers of schools served and selection criteria chosen. (Author/PN)
