The Child and Family Resource Program (CFRP) is a family-oriented child development program initiated by the Administration for Children, Youth and Families to provide support services to low-income families and their children. Following the brief description of program objectives and evaluation phases provided in chapter 1, chapter 2 presents an overview of the CFRP demonstration along with preliminary findings concerning the program operations and processes used in working with families. In addition, this chapter identifies models of program organization and delivery services adopted by various program implementations. Chapter 3 examines the impact of CFRP on families and children by comparing participating families with a group not enrolled in CFRP. Chapter 4, which concludes the document, provides a discussion of future study issues and preliminary plans for the next phase of the CFRP evaluation. (MP)
