Data gathered from the Arkansas Higher Education Information System on the characteristics of college students are presented in tables and figures, with some narrative. Data are presented relating to access to higher education (admission requirements of the schools; open admissions comparison of applications, admission, and enrollment; average American College Testing Program scores; and ability to pay education costs); age and attendance patterns of students (part-time, full-time, first-time entering undergraduates, other undergraduates, unclassified pre-baccalaureate, graduates, unclassified post-baccalaureates, and first-professional); changes in full- and part-time attendance; and women and minorities. A summary table of student characteristics by institution is also given. An additional table shows federal student aid funds for each institution for 1980-81 and 1981-82. (MSE)
