The Child Development Associate (CDA) trainee who completes this training module will be prepared to establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment and to advance the physical and intellectual competencies of preschool children. Contents of the unit emphasize the teacher's responsibility for health care and safety in the preschool, the teaching of health care and safety habits to young children, and sanitation.
