Implementing Interactive Telecommunications Services. Final Report on Problems Which Arise During Implementation of Field Trials and Demonstration Projects.

Intended primarily for use by individuals about to assume responsibility for the implementation of field trials and demonstration projects built around interactive telecommunication systems, this report provides brief descriptions of 20 telemedicine projects, 12 teleconferencing projects, and seven involving two-way applications of cable television; three case studies providing fuller descriptions of the Nursing Home Telemedicine Project in Boston, Massachusetts, the Educational Telephone Network at the University of Wisconsin-Extension, and the Peoria Interactive Cable Television Project; and discussions based on the findings of this study including research context and objectives, needs assessment and project planning, system installation, users, implementation process management, and conclusions reached.
