Faculty Response to the Use of Technology.

A review of the research on the response of college faculties to innovation is followed by a discussion of the technology currently available to colleges and universities in the public sector, and six working assumptions for administrators with regard to the current state of instructional technology. The paper concludes with a brief description of a major proposal developed through the combined efforts of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) and the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC) to promote faculty acceptance and use of technology to enhance instruction.
