Parameter Invariance of the Graded Response Latent Trait Model.
Koch, William R.
The two-parameter graded response latent trait model was applied under various conditions to two simulation data sets and to data obtained from a Likert-type attitude scale. The purpose was to investigate the invariance property of the item and person parameter estimates for polychotomously scored data. Correlation and regression analyses, as well as standardized difference scores, were used to compare corresponding sets of parameter estimates for high-low ability groupings of people and for easy-difficult splits of items. In general, the results successfully demonstrated the parameter invariance of the graded response model. (Author)
