This notebook for grade 3 is one of a series developed in response to the concern for energy conservation. It contains activities that stress an energy conservation ethic and includes many values clarification activities for grade three. The packet is divided into two parts and provides the teacher with background information, concepts and objectives, and activities for each part. Basic goals for the activities involve energy's affect on our lives, available energy sources, and energy conservation. Two annotated bibliographies, one for teachers and the other for students, are also included. The teacher is provided with ditto and transparency master pages to use in the classroom. An evaluation sheet and a list of resources are also a part of this activity packet. Revisions include updated statistics, revised background information, two additional solar activities and a revised bibliography. (Author)
