The second phase of development of a comprehensive Master Plan for New Jersey Institute of Technology is detailed. As part of an established and continuing planning process involving all segments of the campus community, it reaffirms and further refines the institutional mission and priorities for the next decade. The plan is drawn in the context of known present conditions, anticipated future circumstances, and a swiftly changing environment. Operational challenges, near term objectives and things accomplished pursuant to the Phase I plan are part of this document. Chapters include: mission and priorities of the Institute; student population served; enrollment projections; plans for attracting and retaining students; plans for academic program development; research development; public service; institute resources; campus master plan; and the planning process. Appendices include information such as: the long range planning committee; historical student profile data; enrollment projections; projected numbers of freshmen; the planning process; and facilities concept plan. Numerous tables are included with statistical data on enrollment, undergraduates, faculty, and facility information. (LC)
