A project is reviewed which combined television, videotape and three dimensional computer graphics to provide new language experiences to deaf and hearing impaired children. The animation system is described in detail. Field testing in two schools was carried out with 52 students (7 to 15 years old). Ss demonstrated improvement in scores between pretest and posttest, with Ss exhibiting a high degree of interest in the videotapes. Appendixes include four videotape scripts and sample response sheets. (CL)
