This guide outlines the minimum standards for entrance into the fire prevention career field in California. It contains descriptions of 50 tasks. Each task description consists of nine subsections. The task title briefly identifies the content of the task. The occupational analysis subsection identifies the block, unit, and task within the California Fire Service Occupational Analysis, which parallels the task contained in this guide. The next subsection identifies the location of the task in the phamphlet provided by the National Fire Protection Association. The level of learning for each task is identified in the level subsection.
