Teacher Skill Guide for Combatting Sexism. Module 13: Developing the Components of a Nonsexist Person Through Guided Daydreams.

This workshop module is designed to train teachers to use fantasy techniques as a means of strengthening their students' nonsexist behaviors. Workshop activities include a discussion on the rationale for using daydreams to modify behavior and attitudes and the exploration of the experience of a guided daydream. Guidelines are provided for teachers using daydream techniques with their students. A brief background reading on psychocybernetics is presented. A booklet is included for teachers to use in leading classroom activities for their students. Different types of daydreams and their distinctive advantages are presented for the classroom activities.
