This project's goal is to identify and develop management strategies which would allow for the implementation of a number of approaches for providing preservice teachers, beginning teachers, medical students, administrative interns, and graduate students with a year-long field experience. This report discusses the results of field tests, particularly as they relate to selection; placement; cooperative planning; a variety of experiences; supervision; the demonstration, assessment, feedback, and documentation of competencies; and training and evaluation. Specific recommendations for possible implementation are also discussed. A number of issues and concerns must be addressed before full implementation of the year-long internship program, including management, commitment, rewards and resources, and selection. A schedule of project activities and a manual for the supervision team are appended to this report. (CJ)
