An illustrated library skills workbook introduces students to the unversity library, its collections, finding tools, and library research processes. It includes a library tour; an introduction to reference works; use of the catalog, subject headings, and classification systems; familiarization with periodicals, government publications, and microfilms; facilities and services available at the reference desk; and a term paper guide. An appendix provides a selected list of subject area reference sources by call number or location. (RAA)
