ASET Yearbook, Volume 4, 1979.
Ausburn, Lynna J., Ed.
Included in this fourth annual yearbook are position papers, "how we do it" articles, research reports, and book reviews. The first four articles present information about the use of various technologies in instructional programs, i.e., computer assisted instruction at a college of advanced education, educational technology concepts and hardware to individualize external studies programs, video recording in teacher training programs, and three-dimensional instructional models. The fifth describes a new approach to the reviewing, recording, and locating of curriculum materials in both print and non-print formats. Article six looks at the potential advantages which technology offers to higher education, while seven points out some common criticisms of educational technology and offers some refutation of these criticisms. The final two articles focus on research and theory in educational technology--specifically in the area of instructional development and design. The book review section, new to the yearbook this year, provides reviews of four recent publications related to educational technology. (Author/LLS)
