Developing and Implementing A Model Program for Providing Services to Other Health Impaired Children.
Armstrong, Mary L.; And Others
The report describes a model program designed to develop, implement, and evaluate services to health impaired children in compliance with the mandates of Public Law 94-142 (the Education for All Handicapped Children Act). The first four chapters provide an introduction, statement of the problem, research strategy, and review of the literature. Chapter 5 outlines the eight objectives, including such goals as the development of a screening procedure and placement of all identified children in a least restrictive environment. Chapter 6 describes the procedures in implementing the program. Evaluation of the program is provided in the next two chapters, with applications and conclusions considered in the final two chapters. Samples of forms used in the program and a 225 item bibliography are appended. (PHR)
