WEECN Resource Roundup: Hispanic Women in America.
Bonnett, Kendra R., Comp.; Edmonson, Gloria, Comp.
The 70 citations in the annotated bibliography represent a selective sampling of resources focusing exclusively on Hispanic women (Mexican Americans, Chicanas, and Puerto Ricans) in the United States. The items cited are generally topical, of wide interest, readily accessible, inexpensive, and current (some in-progress and forthcoming works are included). Literature, annotated bibliographies, research reports on a wide range of topics, and other materials are organized in four main categories: general, educational, cultural, and socio/political resources. Listings include title, author, publishing data, source, cost, and usually a one or two sentence annotation. In addition, a section of organizations and projects notes regional contact resources (in Colorado; California; Texas; Arizona; Washington, D.C.; and several northern states) which can provide information and assistance to individuals and groups concerned with issues relevant to Hispanic women. The title, address, telephone number, and contact person are given for each resource, along with a brief statement of its scope and focus. (Author/SB)
