Teacher Evaluation in Health Professions Education. A Study of the Impact of ICARE.

The Instrument for a Comprehensive and Relevant Education (ICARE) evaluation system seeks to identify teacher effectiveness in health occupations education. This report details the extent to which the use of the ICARE system has been effective in changing the educational practices of health educators who participated in ICARE workshops. The two major categories of change investigated were the degree to which ICARE concepts and practices were adopted and the degree to which the ICARE framework was modified to meet individual or program needs. Research methodology and conclusions are presented. (CJ)
