Reduction of Sexual Stereotyping and Bias with Regards to Career Choice: A Land Grant Institution of Higher Education.
Leiterman-Stock, Peggy
This project developed a series of different interventions designed to reduce sexual stereotyping and bias with regards to career choice at Montana State University in faculty and students. Inservice education programs were designed to assist faculty and students in becoming more aware of themselves, their biases, and career opportunities. Approximately 90 faculty and administrators participated in workshops designed to assist in self-exploration and awareness as well as recognition of their own sexual bias and stereotypes. In addition, a program entitled "Math and Sex" was created to remove critical roadblocks for men and women. (Author/LRA)
