The third edition of this bibliography is the outcome of a continuing attempt by the Clearinghouse for Applied Performance Testing to survey literature in this area of measurement. The general intent is to enable users to efficiently identify materials to suit their needs. A six-part classification system is used: theoretical/conceptual documents; descriptions of applications of applied performance tests (APT) in particular settings; research studies and reviews of research related to the development/use of APT; descriptions of APT; documents concerned with the development of APT; and bibliographies and other sources of information on applied performance testing. Information is provided as to where documents may be obtained. Abstracts are assigned content area designations indicating the field to which they relate, and are cataloged by these areas. Also specified are the skills or abilities whose measurement is discussed. Four grade/age levels are used to identify the educational level of examinees to which the document refers: elementary, secondary, postsecondary, and adult. Abstracts are within in the indicative style, and suggested user groups are identified. (GSK)
