The essays in this collection are designed to acquaint preservice and beginning teachers with rationales and models for the integration of career education and language arts instruction into their classrooms. The two essays in Part One address the issues of the responsibilities of English professionals, while the five in Part Two offer justifications and recommendations for the integration of career education into the English language arts curriculum. The seven essays in Part Three present specific suggestions and teaching ideas for use in the classroom, and the two in Part Four encourage educators to think about the future. (FL)
