Organizational Development Workbook. Volume 1.
Aurora Associates, Inc., Washington, DC.
This workbook presents a proven and practical model of organizational development prepared for the 166 Youth Department Bureau Runaway Youth Program grantees. It is designed to take the user through four phases of organizational development: (1) initiation of the change process; (2) development of organizational change (intervention) plans; (3) implementation of planned organizational improvements; and (4) evaluation of the change effort. Within each of these phases, the instructions and practice instruments needed to assess the relevant information, to analyze that information, and to design an action strategy are provided. Checkpoints, key issues affecting the success or failure of planned organizational change, are included to assist the user in gaining a greater understanding of the importance of his/her leadership style and rational skills in mobilizing organizational resources in support of change agendas.
