This resource manual is designed to provide an orientation to the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act and vocational education and to create an awareness of the opportunities for developing effective linkages that will be beneficial to both CETA prime sponsors and local education agencies. The first of three major sections contains overviews of CETA and vocational education. In addition to defining CETA and vocational education, a legislative summary and descriptions of the clients served are presented. The second major section of the guide contrasts planning in CETA and vocational education. A final section describes program implementation and evaluation procedures in CETA and vocational education, and specifically, reviews the funding process, special requirements and restrictions, monitoring procedures, reporting procedures, and evaluation and follow-up procedures.
