School Social Work Journal. Illinois Association of School Social Workers. Volume 3, Number 2, Spring 1979.
Evertts, Jeanne, Ed.
This journal for school social work practitioners attempts to provide new perspectives on practice issues, to share innovative approaches to problem solving, and to present new and applicable methods of intervention. This issue includes articles on: (1) an in-school program for adolescent parents; (2) group process and black adolescent identity crisis; (3) self-concept confusion in the physically different child; and (4) inservice programs for children to increase their awareness of hearing impairment. Additional articles focus on an evaluation model for school social work programs, comparisons of attending and non-attending junior high school students, and a social awareness group for girls to improve their self-concept. The journal also features book and film reviews relevant to school social work. (NRB)
